The Secret Life of Walter Mitty: Official Review

Hello Dreamers,

For someone who sorta remembered reading the short story back in grade school, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty was a fun movie to watch.

Synopsis:
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty was a story about a man who has a fairly dull life with no hints of adventure. He works a 9-5 job, pays his bills and has really done nothing noteworthy or mentionable. Except in his imagination. In his imagination, he's a hero, an adventurer and he's brave enough to talk to this girl that he likes. Walter works for Life magazine which, in the movie, is about to publish it's final physical edition (it's becoming Live Online). Walter works in the picture department and to make a long story short, realizes that the picture needed for the magazine's cover is missing. Walter realizes that the negative might never have been mailed out and that the photographer, Sean O'Connell might still have it. So... Walter works to track down photographer and finds himself in Iceland, Greenland, in the ocean fighting sharks... it gets kinda crazy.

Acting:
Really this section is only here to report actors that I felt did an exceptionally good job or that completely failed. Ben Stiller (Walter Mitty) did a great job. So did Sean Penn (Sean O'Connell). All around, everything was pretty good.

Quality:
The way that the day dreams were portrayed was fantastic. You kinda were second guessing what was real and what wasn't. (Though somethings you knew for a fact just weren't real :D)
The movie was appropriately amusing... I even noticed people who generally don't like drama movies liking this movie. (My brother has been calling it the YOLO movie...)

Content Advisory:
Absolutely nothing to report. At all. Finally.
Well... actually there is one bit where I think Walter says the S word... They're about to be covered by a volcano... kinda understandable.
Walter's sister also is auditioning to play Rizzo in Grease. You don't see the play, so don't freak out. The only part I'd say is a little awkward is at the end when Walter invites Cheryl to go see it with him. Walter says that some weird church is putting it on (a really weird church, I'd say). Then Cheryl says that she always related to Rizzo the most. Walter asks plain out if it's because of Rizzo's lifestyle. Cheryl says no.
Just stuff you should know before watching it with Jr.

4 Fandom points. It doesn't quite hit the fangirling mark because... well what would you fangirl over? But it's a really good movie. One of my favorites. And it's PG. The world needs more of those.
